1939-45 War Medal, General Service Medal With "Palestine 1945-48" Clasp (2/LT G. J. P. TREACHER R.A.C.)
George John Patrick Treacher served in the Royal Armoured Corps. He received in Emergency Commission in 1946. His service in Palestine in the immediate post-war period earned him the GSM. He resigned his commission in 1956 "On appointment to the Canadian Military Forces". He appears to have settled in Newfoundland and spent the remainder of his life there. Sold with his King's Badge for his WWII service and a set of miniature medals (GSM incorrect being a QE2 issue with "Palestine" clasp).
