WWII Finland / Germany - Eismeer Front Cross 1941-43

Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with dark blue enameled arms and with a central white enameled disc set within a circular oak leaf wreath, the disc bearing Finnish and German flags joined together in the centre by a Finnish national emblem, situated above dates “1941-1943”, with a mobile swastika set into the centrepiece with its arms emanating from between the quadrants, the former bearing inscriptions of “PETSAMO, LITSA, LIINAHAMARI, KIRKKONIEMI”, the reverse bearing a central threaded lug retaining an original backplate, unmarked.
