Frederick Leonard Reid was born in Kingston, Ontario. A physician, he was a member of the CAMC militia when he joined the Queen's University Field Ambulandce, CEF in Kington in December, 1916. He served in various medical units and hospitals in England and France including 7th Canadian General Hospital and 12th Canadian Stationary Hospital until the end of the war. After the war he practiced medecine in Trenton, Ontario. He served in the RCAMC during the Second World War and retired with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He then worked as a senior medical officer for the department of Veterans' Affairs, retiring in 1951. He passed away in 1966.
