Jeffrey Alan Morgan was born in London, England and had 3 years previous service in the British Columbia Horse (Canadian Militia) when he joined the 11th Canadian Mounted Rifles in Vancouver in March, 1915. While in England he was appointed to a commission in the British Army and served in the East Kent Regiment attached to the Royal West Kent Regiment.
