WWI Victory Medal named to: 69970 PTE. W. R. TRUSWELL 26-CAN. INF.
William Robson Truswell was born in Belfast, Ireland. He had previously served in the Enniskillen Fusiliers [sic] (presume Inniskilling) and joined the 26th Battalion CEF at Saint John, New Brunswick in November, 1914 as an original member of the battalion. He served at the front with the battalion, being wounded in March 1916 (BW knee) and again in September 1917 (SW face). Truswell survived the war and was discharged in 1918.
