Robert McDougall was born in Belwood, Ontario and living in Saskatoon when he joined the 210th Battalion at Saskatoon in May, 1916. He spent some time in England and was eventually sent to France with the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles, serving with them until the end of the war. He was wounded in September, 1918.
