Robert Leo Pierpoint was born in Liverpool, England. He joined the 236th Battalion CEF (New Brunswick Kilties) at Fredericton, NB in March, 1917. He proceeded to the 13th Battalion CEF (Royal Highlanders of Canada) in a reinforcing draft and served with that battalion at the front. He was wounded in September 1918.
