Robert Dalgleish Campbell Kerr was born in Scotland. He was working in Montreal as a printing pressman and a member of the 5th Royal Highlanders when he was drafted into the CEF in October, 1917. He served in France with the 13th Battalion and was wounded (Gassed) in October, 1918.
