Martin Henry Conolly was born in Toronto and joined the 69th Battalion (Canadien-Francais) at Montreal in August 1915. He was drafted to the 14th Battalion (Royal Montreal Regiment) and served with them on the Western Front from August 1916. Wounded (GSW Face) in September 1916. MM awarded per London Gazette 31173 – 11 Feb 1919.
