WWI Memorial Plaque - Vincent - 29th Canadian Infantry Battalion

208355 Private William James Vincent was born in Worcester, Massachussets, USA. He had previously served in the US Navy before joining the 59th Battalion at Windsor, Ontario in April, 1916. Later transferred to the 29th Battalion. He was wounded (Gas Shell Poisoning) in October, 1917 and later killed in action on September 8th, 1918. He is buried in Sun Quarry Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. Note: Middle name incorrectly given as Joseph on the plaque.
