Gordon George Moore was born in Springfield in Elgin County, Ontario. He joined the 91st (Elgin) Battalion in Springfield in November, 1915. He was transferred to the 38th (Ottawa) battalion, joining them at the front in August, 1916. He died of wounds on 4 May, 1917 and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial.
