Sydney Stuart Fletcher was born in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England and was living in Des Moines, Iowa, USA when he joined the CEF in Toronto in October, 1917. He was assigned to the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force and served with #11 Stationary Hospital during late 1918 and into 1919.
