Neil Alexander MacInnes was born in Lakeside, Mannitoba and living in Langruth when he joined the 203rd Battalion (Winnipeg Rifles) in Brandon in May, 1916. He was transferred to the 44th Battalion and served at the front with that unit, being wounded in August, 1918.
