Alfred Cecil Rhodes was born in Birmingham, England and living in Sackville, New Brunswick when he joined the 140th Battalion (Saint John's Tigers) in Sussex, NB in November, 1915. He served on the Western Front in the 26th Battalion (New Brunswick) CEF and the 2nd Canadian Machine Gun Battalion.
