Sydney John Parbery was born in Willingborough, England. He was a member of the Canadian Militia (36th Peel Regiment) when he joined the 36th Battalion of the CEF in November, 1914. He was severely wounded on 23 April, during the Second Battle of Ypres, and evacuated to England where he subsequently died of his wounds.
