WWI 1914-15 Star named to: 21343 PTE. R. G. BARNES. 4-CAN. INF.

Richard George Barnes was born in Galt, Ontario. He joined the 11th Battalion of the CEF at Valcartier in September, 1914. Transferred to the 4th Battalion in England, he proceeded to France in May, 1915. He was killed in action at the Battle of Festubert on 23 May, 1915.
