George Stanley Crawford was born in Highgate, Ontario (Chatam-Kent) and joined the 7th Canadian Mounted Rifles in London, Ontario in January, 1915. He served on the Western Front in the Canadian Light Horse, 6th Brigade Trench Mortar Battery and the Canadian Motor Machine Gun Brigade. Crawford was wounded in 1918. Scarce to unit.
