David Taylor was born in Dundee, Forfarshire, Scotland in 1891. He joined the Royal Navy in 1912. He served in HMS J5 and was discharged dead from the boat in November 1918, having died of pneumonia. He is buried in Barnhill Cemetery, near Dundee. Sold with the (crushed) transmittal boxes for the 1914-15 Star and the BWM/VM.
