Ernest Charles Vine initially served in the Royal Navy Yacht Patrol, and was discharged from this service in 1916. He subsequently served with the Royal Berkshire Regiment and the Oxforshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He lived in Cowes, Isle of Wight. His son's WWII medals are listed separately on our website.
