Born in Draines Liskard, Cornwall, England, William Jones Wilton served 12 years in the Royal Navy earning the Egypt Medal and Khedive’s Star during his service. He gave his trade as miner when he attested to the Pioneer Reinforcements Company in Vancouver, June, 1916. He served on the Western Front with the 1st Canadian Pioneer Battalion. Wilton was discharged at Vancouver in March, 1919. A scarce combination of medals.
