1940 Dated. William Melanethelon Pearce served in the 14th Battalion, CEF and the Canadian Machine Gun Corps during the First World War. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1918 and was also twice Mentioned in Despatches. During the Second World War he served as the Commanding Officer of the Reserve Battalion of the Irish Regiment of Canada.
