Robert Reid was born in Wingham, Huron County, Ontario. He attested to the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles at Moosomin, Saskatchewan in December, 1901. His medal was forwarded to him in Poplar Point, Manitoba in 1904. During the First World War he served overseas in the Canadian Engineers (Service Number 2115171), and was awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal.
Some edge knocks and nicks and the suspender looks to have been tightened/repaired at some point.
