A Delhi Durbar 1911 Medal named (period engraving) to: 6568 Pte. J. O'Rourke 1st H.L.I.
James O'Rourke served in the 1st Battalion, Highland Light Infantry earning the Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps or Wittebergen and Cape Colony, and a 1914-15 Trio in addition to his 1911 Delhi Durbar Medal, which is confirmed on the roll. He died of wounds on 22 May, 1915 while the battalion was involved in the Second Battle of Ypres. O'Rourke is buried in Cabaret-Rouge Cemetery, Souchez, France.
