Awarded for long service in the Permanent Forces of the Irish Defence Forces. Medal is in its cardboard box of issue and has clasps for 15 and 21 years of service. The reverse appears to have had the name of the recipient removed by means of a mechanical grinder of some sort. A scarce medal.
