John Gordon Park was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1893. He joined the 162nd Battalion CEF at Parry Sound, Ontario in May 1916. He was transferred between several units in England before joining the 4th CMR in France. Park was wounded (GSW chest) in September 1918 but survived the war.
