Marvin James Powell was born in Verona, Ontario and living in Rochester, New York when he joined the 2nd Depot Battalion, Central Ontario Regiment at Toronto in April 1918. He appears to have been underage – giving his year of birth as 1898, however, online sources suggest he was actually born in November 1900. He returned to Rochester after the war and passed away in Sodus, New York in 1986.
