1939-45 Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal, Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) (Maj P C Milsom)
Peter Clarence Milsom was born in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, England in 1920. Online research indicates he served in the 300th Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery which was attached to the 2nd Independent Parachute Brigade Group from 8 December 1943. . Following the war he evidently immigrated to Canada and served in the 7th/11th Hussars and the Royal Canadian Artillery, earning the Canadian Forces Decoration in 1961. He was tragically killed in a car accident in 1962. Potential for significant additional research remains.
