Large format portraits of a junior officer in the York and Lancaster Regiment. He appears to have started his service in the ranks, which would date the post card sized example as the earliest of the photos (perhaps 1914 or early 1915). The remainder depicts him serving as a lieutenant. Evidently he was wounded at some point as indicated by the wound stripe in the later photos. Lot comprises:

Large portrait (approx 7" x 10" inclusive of mat) in cuff-ranked service dress wearing an interesting wrist watch and cap. Dated 1915 on the back.
Large portrait (approx 7" x 10" inclusive of mat) in service dress, seated, holding his cap. Lieutenant rank. Wound badge on left sleeve. Dated 1918 on the back.
Large portrait (approx 7.5" x 10" inclusive of mat) standing in service dress with a walking stick/cane.
All in overall very good condition with some minor war and showing evidence of having been removed from frames/album.
