British War Medal, WWI Victory Medal (2.Lieut. I. Robinson)

Second Lieutenant Isaac Robinson was born in Burrow-in-Furness in 1897. He attended King's College - University of London and is commemorated in their published Roll of War Service. Robinson initially joined the Oxforshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He was commissioned into the 12th Battalion East Lancashire Regiment and attached to the 2nd Battalion with whom he served on the Western Front. Robinson was killed in action 23 October 1916 during the battalion's attack on "Mild Trench" during the Battle of the Somme. Having no known grave, he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
