William Henry Cruze was born in Plympton, St. Mary, Devon. He joined the Royal Navy in 1899. He served in various ships prior to the First World War. During WWI he served in HMS Devonshire and HMS Arab. He was awarded his RN LSGC in 1927. Silver medals appear to be lightly plated.
