British – Victorian – South Africa Medal (1880) – Royal Engineers - Warwicker

Company Sergeant Major Charles Warwicker. Born in Braintree, Essex, he joined the Royal Engineers at Bedford in 1876. He was by trade a surveyor. Served 18 years,14 of which in South Africa, and was discharged at his own request in 1897. His conduct and character was rated as exemplary. He was additionally awarded a Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, without gratuity, in 1895.
