The reverse inscribed:

Pte. F. Bond

Hallmarks for 1908 and additionally stamped: Laughton – B’Ham.

Believed to have been awarded to Frederick Bond (regimental number 8781) who served with the 1^st Battalion during the First World War, was awarded the Military Medal and died of wounds as a POW in 1917.
