Onlne records indicate he had Typhoid Fever whilst serving with the 10\/Mal Co. in September 1918. The London Gazette indicates he was employed as a ‘skilled workman’ by the Post Office in 1913 (LG 3 Jan 1913). WWII service was likely in the Home Guard meriting his award of the Defence Medal.
